Swiss haute horlogerie maison MB&F introduces a striking new chapter in one of its most celebrated creations with the unveiling of the Legacy Machine Perpetual Chromatic Editions — a trio of exceptionally limited timepieces that marry groundbreaking mechanics with vivid gemstone artistry.

First launched in 2015, the award-winning Legacy Machine Perpetual reimagined the perpetual calendar from the ground up. For 2026, MB&F elevates the icon with three dazzling new references featuring hand-set bezels adorned with 48 baguette-cut gemstones. Offered in white gold with blue sapphires, white gold with purple sapphires, and red gold with Mozambique rubies, each edition is limited to just eight pieces worldwide.

Beyond their radiant appearance lies the same revolutionary perpetual calendar movement developed by master watchmaker Stephen McDonnell. Comprising 581 components, the calibre replaces the traditional perpetual calendar architecture with an innovative mechanical processor that calculates each month with remarkable precision while eliminating many of the vulnerabilities associated with conventional systems.

Suspended beneath MB&F’s signature floating balance wheel, the movement remains a visual spectacle — a fusion of engineering, artistry, and imagination. For collectors, these extraordinary creations represent works of art, crafted in some of the smallest numbers ever seen within the Legacy Machine Perpetual family.
