With a refined 36mm case, a celestial moon-phase complication and the enduring appeal of pink gold, Jaeger-LeCoultre brings a new perspective to one of its most elegant dress watches.
In an era where watchmaking increasingly balances technical ambition with individual expression, Jaeger-LeCoultre makes a compelling case for the beauty of restraint. The Swiss Maison introduces a new interpretation of its Master Ultra Thin Moon, pairing a more compact 36mm silhouette with the warmth of 18K pink gold and the understated sophistication of a silver-toned dial. The result is a timepiece that feels rooted in horological tradition while speaking to a contemporary appreciation for considered proportions and enduring design.
The new case marks a defining feature of this latest iteration. Fully polished, with a slim profile and gently curved lugs, it draws inspiration from the proportions of classic round watches of the 1950s. Pink gold lends the design a richness that is at once subtle and unmistakable, its warm lustre complemented by matching gold-toned hour markers and faceted hands. Against the cool, sunray-brushed silver dial, the contrast is quietly striking, allowing the materials and finishing to do the talking.

It is a fitting expression of the Master Ultra Thin collection, conceived as a modern dress watch informed by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s long-standing expertise in ultra-thin movements. Dating back to the early 20th century, the Maison’s pursuit of slim mechanical calibres has helped shape an aesthetic defined by clean lines, balanced proportions and a distinctly understated elegance. Here, that philosophy finds renewed expression in a watch designed to feel equally at home beneath a tailored cuff or worn as a considered finishing touch to evening attire.
At the centre of the dial, symmetry and legibility take precedence. The date and moon-phase display sit at six o’clock, creating a natural focal point without disrupting the composition. The trapezoidal hour markers echo the geometry of the Dauphine hands, whose alternating satin-brushed and polished facets catch the light from different angles. It is a small but telling detail, reflecting the Maison’s attention to the relationship between form, finish and function.
The moon-phase complication brings a more poetic dimension to the design. Set against a deep blue, star-filled backdrop, the moon appears on the silver-coloured dial as a reminder of the celestial rhythms that have long fascinated watchmakers. The surrounding date indications, printed in black, provide a practical counterpoint to the display, marrying everyday utility with one of horology’s most enduring complications.

Beneath the refined exterior lies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s in-house Calibre 925, a self-winding movement developed, manufactured and assembled at the Maison’s Manufacture in Le Sentier, Switzerland. A proven mainstay of the collection, the calibre has evolved through successive technical refinements, with its latest iteration delivering a power reserve of 70 hours. Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, its finishing is equally considered, featuring Côtes de Genève decoration, bevelled bridges and blued screws. An open-worked 22K pink gold rotor adds a final note of visual distinction. Completing the watch is a black alligator strap secured by a matching 18K pink gold pin buckle. Easily interchangeable, it offers a degree of versatility that reinforces the timepiece’s contemporary appeal without compromising its classic character.
