To celebrate Benoît Gouez’s two decades as Cellar Master, Moët & Chandon unveils an exceptional Grand Vintage collection, embodying twenty years of expertise, boldness, and excellence. Presented in an ultra-limited Rimowa case, this collection highlights the iconic vintages that have shaped the House’s history.

Limited to only three copies, this creation transcends the world of champagne. Each case contains carefully selected exceptional vintages, including the Grand Vintage Collection 1998, marking Benoît Gouez’s arrival at Moët & Chandon. This rare vintage, with notes of warm brioche, candied fruits, and jasmine, embodies the vision and mastery of champagne artistry that have defined these two decades. Among the treasures in this collection are also the Grand Vintage Collection 2000, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2009, each expressing a unique story, a year, and a precise moment in Benoît Gouez’s innovative vision.
The highlight of this collection is undoubtedly the Collection Impériale Création N°1, Benoît Gouez’s latest masterpiece. This brut nature champagne, blended from seven carefully selected vintages, is the result of two decades of research and experimentation. Its meticulous vinification, combining stainless steel tanks, oak barrels, and extended aging on lees, reveals a complex and captivating aromatic palette. On the palate, this creation expresses elegance and intensity, balancing freshness and maturity. Notes of licorice, mirabelle plum, and candied lemon mingle with delicate effervescence and a lingering smoky finish.
Since his arrival at Moët & Chandon in 1998, Benoît Gouez has embodied the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Under his leadership, the House has pushed the boundaries of champagne creation, adopting a rigorous, scientific, and sensory approach to winemaking, where each vintage is an exploration of both nature’s potential and human artistry.
