For a house synonymous with one of the world’s most recognisable silhouettes on the Dubai horizon, Jumeirah’s move from shore to sea feels instinctive. The hospitality group has announced the addition of the superyacht Maltese Falcon to Jumeirah Privé, its ultra-luxury portfolio of rare private properties and destinations, extending its vision of refined living into open water.

The partnership marks Jumeirah’s first foray into luxury sailing, following the debut of Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania’s Shungimbili Island Marine Reserve. Where Thanda Island offered seclusion rooted in nature, the Maltese Falcon introduces mastery and maritime innovation, an 88-metre clipper whose presence has long commanded attention in global yachting circles. Designed around the revolutionary DynaRig system, the yacht’s three freestanding carbon-fibre masts allow for rapid sail deployment and a strikingly clean profile. It is a feat of engineering that transformed modern sailing when it launched—and continues to turn heads from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. On board, Jumeirah’s culinary and wellness teams will curate the experience, translating the brand’s hallmark service to sea without eclipsing the vessel’s own character.

Accommodating up to 12 guests, the layout balances intimacy and scale. A full-beam master suite and a private VIP deck with its own terrace anchor the accommodation, while a dramatic three-deck atrium, spiralling upwards via a sculptural staircase, forms the heart of the interior. On deck, innovation meets theatre with an outdoor cinema that transforms one of the sails into a screen, making the rig itself part of the spectacle.

From December 2025, Maltese Falcon will begin its first season under the Jumeirah banner, tracing a classic sailing rhythm. Winters will unfold across the Caribbean, before summers return to the Mediterranean, from the Balearics and the French Riviera to the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, and the crystalline waters of Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Turkey. With Maltese Falcon, Jumeirah opens a new chapter, one that carries its hospitality philosophy beyond land, embracing the freedom of the sea while retaining the sense of place, discretion, and excellence that has long defined the brand.
