What an exhilarating pleasure it is to find oneself freediving ten meters below the sparkling surface, immersed in an experience where time seems suspended, waves become a playground, and every breath counts. Just a few days earlier, we flew to Marseille to attend an exclusive masterclass organized by Tudor, in the presence of three-time world freediving champion Morgan Bourc’his. Over three days of intense discovery, we proudly wore the Tudor Pelagos watch—a perfect blend of urban elegance and abyssal resilience. With its water resistance up to 500 meters, titanium case, self-adjusting clasp, helium escape valve, and fully luminescent display, the Pelagos proved to be the ideal companion for exploring the depths of the unknown.

Who better than the French champion to embody Tudor’s iconic watch? Able to remain submerged for over seven minutes without oxygen and dive beyond 90 meters without equipment, Morgan Bourc’his ranks among the world’s greatest freedivers and serves as a prime ambassador for Tudor. Their collaboration began in 2014 during an advertising campaign for the Pelagos. Since then, the freediving champion has become an inseparable figure of the brand, carrying the legacy of boldness and performance.

Accompanied by a select group of journalists from around the world, the champion literally immersed us in the authentic world of a competition—from training sessions to the final freedive—culminating in the awarding of a diploma. In an atmosphere both intimate and athletic, under the Marseille sun, our charismatic guide introduced us to the art of self-transcendence through his unique approach to freediving. Beyond mere diving techniques, he revealed the secrets to exploring the depths of the mind: mastery of breathing, mental serenity, and intense visualization—keys to unlocking hidden doors not just underwater, but also in the challenges of everyday life.

Throughout our getaway, we immersed ourselves in Tudor’s fearless world, fully embracing its credo, “Born to Dare.” Our experience with the watchmaking brand and the world champion went far beyond a simple adventure—it was more a rebirth. A captivating journey where the waves of Marseille marked only the beginning of an inner voyage and a quest for self-transcendence.
