Ferrari takes you on a unique gastronomic escape.
Discover the iconic Cavallino restaurant, a historic landmark revisited by the Marque. Located on Via Abertone Inferiore, directly opposite the entrance to the Maranello factory, this restaurant is the result of a collaboration between renowned chef Massimo Bottura and architect India Mahdavi.
It is the very expression of the brand’s passion and excellence, a means of conveying the emotions, successes, and memories that have marked Ferrari’s history. The Cavallino evokes the very roots of the company and the powerful, pioneering spirit of its founder, Enzo Ferrari.
The Cavallino has been an emblematic symbol of the Ferrari heritage since 1942.
That year, Enzo Ferrari took over the former Fondo Cavani land, annexing the small farmhouse which was first used as a canteen, changing room, and a training center for staff. It was finally opened to the public in 1950 under the name Ristorante Cavallino.
This legendary place was Enzo Ferrari’s customary spot to meet with his collaborators, clients, and close friends for lunch in the private room where he enjoyed watching the Grand Prix. Among them was Gioacchino Colombo, who designed the first Ferrari car, the 125S Sport, in 1945.
The contemporary reinterpretation of this space revives the authentic simplicity of a cult destination that is part of the Maranello legend.
Thus, Cavallino embraces a vision of hospitality to offer everyone the chance to be part of the Ferrari universe—to immerse themselves in the same atmosphere and share the same values that have driven the founder and all those who have worked to shape the legend for almost 75 years.
In the same spirit, the restaurant also offers Massimo Bottura’s vision of Italian tradition with a contemporary, rather than nostalgic, approach. A great admirer of Ferrari and an ambassador of excellence in his field, the celebrated Chef describes Cavallino as “a new vision and a new way to bring Modenese cuisine back to life.”
