For more than nine decades, Clinique La Prairie has defined the gold standard in longevity and preventive health. Founded in 1931 on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Swiss institution has long occupied a rare space where rigorous medical science meets holistic wellbeing, precision meets discretion, and innovation unfolds at a considered pace. In Dubai, where longevity has become both a personal priority and a national ambition, that philosophy is now taking on new resonance. Eyes Arabia sat down in Dubai with Simone Gibertoni, CEO of Clinique La Prairie, to discuss how the brand is translating its Swiss medical heritage for the Middle East, from its Longevity Hub at One&Only One Za’abeel, to its forthcoming health resort at AMAALA on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.

“From the beginning, we have combined medical research with preventive and wellness practices,” says Gibertoni. “Lasting wellbeing comes from treating the individual as a whole, physically, mentally and emotionally.” Clinique La Prairie’s home in Montreux has been instrumental in shaping this vision. It is here that its science-led yet holistic philosophy was developed, tested and refined over decades. The Montreux flagship continues to act as the brand’s intellectual and medical nucleus, setting standards that are replicated, but never diluted, across its global network beyond the walls of Switzerland.

That evolution is perhaps most visible in Dubai, where the Longevity Hub at One&Only One Za’abeel has quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about wellness destinations. The decision to expand into the UAE was deliberate. “The Middle East has always been central to our long-term strategy,” Gibertoni explains. “Dubai, in particular, offered the right ecosystem to introduce our Longevity Hub concept. It is a global city with a strong appetite for advanced medical wellness, combined with the pace and intensity of urban life where long-term health optimisation is increasingly relevant. Bringing our hyper-personalised longevity protocols into a dynamic, urban setting marks an important evolution”. Clinique La Prairie’s partnership with One&Only Za’abeel was equally decisive. “We share the same commitment to excellence, precision and service”, says Gibertoni. Here, guests begin their journey with the Longevity Index, a comprehensive health assessment that analyses physical condition, lifestyle and biological markers.

And if Dubai represents longevity integrated into urban life, Saudi Arabia offers something altogether different. Scheduled to open in October 2026, Clinique La Prairie AMAALA will bring the brand’s philosophy into a purpose-built health resort on the Red Sea coast. “It will be part of a larger hospitality destination on the Red Sea coast that integrates wellness with a broader tourism experience rooted in nature and luxury”, notes Gibertoni. “And as a destination designed entirely around restoration, AMAALA allows guests to step away from daily demands and focus fully on long-term health optimisation, applying the same scientific and holistic philosophy that define Clinique La Prairie across all our locations. It complements both Montreux, where our medical heritage was established, and our urban Longevity Hubs, which integrate longevity into everyday life”.

With just 50 rooms, it allows Clinique La Prairie to work at an intensely personal level, guiding guests through immersive health journeys free from the demands of everyday life. For long-standing Gulf clients who have travelled to Switzerland for decades, AMAALA represents both continuity and proximity, a Swiss standard of longevity, reimagined closer to home, in an environment that encourages slowing down and deep transformation. “Saudi Arabia’s commitment to creating regenerative destinations also aligns with how we see the future of luxury longevity, as a bespoke experience, rooted in innovation, and driven by environments that allow real change to take place”, he explains.

The global fascination with Swiss-led longevity, skincare and cellular science, Gibertoni believes, comes down to a cultural commitment to doing things properly, and over time. Innovation at Clinique La Prairie is never adopted for novelty. From advanced diagnostics and genetic testing to epigenetic age analysis, multi-omics and AI-supported assessments, technology is introduced only when it meaningfully enhances long-term vitality. But even in a forward-thinking city like Dubai, “AI doesn’t replace doctors,” Gibertoni notes. “It empowers them, allowing us to detect subtle, silent changes in health before they become problems.”

In a world increasingly obsessed with optimisation, wearables and biohacking, Clinique La Prairie’s definition of wellness remains resolutely human. “Wellness is not about extending life at all costs,” says Gibertoni. “The Middle East’s commitment to creating regenerative destinations also aligns with how we see the future of luxury longevity, as a bespoke experience, rooted in innovation, and driven by environments that allow real change to take place”.
